Ladakh Land Tour — 7 Nights / 8 Days
Leh – Nubra – Turtuk – Pangong – Leh – Sham Valley
- Hotels
- Private Cab
- Sightseeing
- Meals
Ladakh's essentials in six days. The Sham Valley and Leh monasteries are combined into a single second day, which leaves room for Nubra and a full evening plus sunrise at Pangong.
Six days is enough for Ladakh’s headline sights if the days are sequenced well. This route pairs the Leh monasteries with the Sham Valley on day two, which frees up the schedule for a full evening and a sunrise at Pangong.
Day one is complete rest — no exertion, plenty of water, and Shanti Stupa in the evening only if you feel up to it. At 3,500 m on arrival that first day matters more than any other.
Arrival and acclimatisation, Shanti Stupa at sunset, a leisure walk in the local market
Shey Palace, Thiksey, Alchi Monastery, Magnetic Hill and Sangam View Point
Khardung La at 5,359 m, Diskit Monastery and Maitreya, Hunder Sand Dunes, Bactrian camels
Colour-changing water at 4,250 m, photography, a lakeside walk and sunset
Sunrise at the lake, the 5,360 m pass and Ladakh's richest monastery
Souvenirs, pashmina and handicrafts on the final afternoon
