Driving up through Sonamarg and over Zoji La spreads the same gain across three days, and gives you Kashmir \u2014 the gardens, the houseboats, Pahalgam \u2014 as part of the same trip rather than a separate holiday.<\/p>\n<h3>Good to know<\/h3>\n<p>The Srinagar\u2013Kargil road depends on Zoji La being open, which is reliable from roughly May to September.
